The Organization Shavei Israel For Our Lost Brethren (hereinafter: the”Organization“) respects the privacy of https://shavei.co/ Website (hereinafter: the “Website“) users who provide Information (as defined below) to the Organization via the Website, which for the receipt of such Information the Organization is required to provide such users a notification according to Section 11 of the Privacy Protection Law 1981-1981 (hereinafter: the”Law“) (hereinafter: the “User” or “Users“).
The provision of such Information by the User may be, inter alia, in connection with actions performed on the Website by the User, such as making donations (hereinafter: the “Donations“), subscribing to the Organization’s newsletter and/ or any other action performed by the User on the Website in which the User Provide information to the Organization (the “Actions“).
This Privacy Policy is an integral part of the Website’s terms of use, available for reading on the following link https://www.shavei.org/terms-and-conditions/. The Privacy Policy details the way the Organization makes use of the Information provided to it by the Users and/or collected by it during the use of the Website.
The provision of the Information to the Organization by the User depends on the User’s consent and free will, and does not result from a legal obligation. However, in case the User will not provide certain Information, some or all of the Actions might not be available to the User.
For your information, the Information (as defined below) provided to the Organization by the User will be kept in the Organization’s databases for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. Any browsing, use of the Website or attempt to use the Website, including any performance of and/ or attempt to perform the Actions (hereinafter: “use”), indicates the User’s consent to the provisions of this Privacy Policy. 1. What is Information?
In this Privacy Policy, the term “Information” means any Information, including Sensitive Information, as these terms are defined in the Law, as well as any data or information collected by the Organization or provided to it by the User or someone on his behalf as part of the User’s use of the Website, by which the User can be identified.
2. The sources through which the Organization collects Information about the User
2.1. Information that the User provides to the Organization and/or someone on its behalf. For example, when requesting to operate any Action, as defined above, inter alia, providing Information while requesting to make a Donation via the Website and/ or via third parties (including service providers of the Organization), and/ or while requesting to subscribe to the Organization newsletter; and/or when submitting details as part of conversations or correspondence with the Organization’s representatives;
2.2. Information received by the Organization in connection with the use of the Website. For example, when the User makes any use of the Website.
3. The Information that the Organization collects about the User
The Organization will collect about the Users the Information detailed below (in whole or in part):
3.1.Identification and contact information including name, company details which the User operates on its behalf and e-mail address;
3.2.In case the User makes an offline donation (via cheque), the organization may collect the details as specified on the cheque, such as bank account details.
3.3. Data received as part of conversations and/or correspondence with representatives on behalf of the Organization, if any;
3.4. Additional data and documents that the User chooses to provide to the organization voluntarily;
3.5. Data about the User’s browsing habits as well as data related to the use of the Website, including information about user’s preferences, as well as information received from the browser, including the User’s Internet (IP) address.
3.6. Aggregate data, statistical data and other data derived from User information.
3.7. Any additional information that the User submits and/or is received by the Organization in connection with the User and the use of the Website.
4. The purposes for which the Organization collects the Information
The Organization collects Information about the User for the following purposes – in whole or in part:
For and in connection with the performance of the Action and/ or Use of the Website by the User, including:
4.1.For receiving the Donations made by the User and/ or anyone on its behalf;
4.2.For the management of existing and potential donors and/ or Users;
4.3. Establishing contact with the User;
4.4. Sending updates and/ or newsletters (subject to the applicable law and to receiving the User’s consent, if such consent is required according to the applicable law);
4.5. Operation and management of the Website;
4.6. For the development of the Website;
4.7. For the maintenance of the Website and monitoring its User activity;
4.8. To improve the User experience on the Website;
4.9. For compiling statistical data and transferring of processed, statistical or any other kind of information, to third parties (subject to this Privacy Policy and/ or the Law);
4.10. For analysis, research and compilation of statistics;
4.11. For displaying and adjusting ads that will be presented to the Users and may match their preferences on the Website, advertising platforms as well as other Websites;
4.12. For the purpose of sending by electronic means advertisements, information about the Organization, and marketing information (subject to obtaining consent in accordance with legal requirements, if apply);
4.13. For direct mail purposes as defined by the Law, and subject to the Law;
4.14. For raising additional donations from third parties, as specifies on Section 5.3.3 below;
4.15. To defend against lawsuits, demands and claims against the Organization and anyone on its behalf, as well as against third parties;
4.16. To enforce the provisions of the Website regulations and this Privacy Policy;
4.17. Maintaining the Organization’s property, preventing theft and fraud;
4.18. To protect the Organization’s legitimate interests;
4.19. To comply with the provisions of any applicable law and/ or regulatory requirements (including from any authority, such as the Registrar of Associations).
5. Transfer of the information
5.1.The Organization will not transfer or provide Information to third parties, except as detailed below.
5.2. The transfer of Information to third parties will include, as much as possible, only relevant Information that does not exceed the purposes for which the Information is transferred, and will be carried out proportionately for a defined, explicit and legitimate purpose.
5.3. The Organization may transfer the Information or any part of it to third parties (including by providing access) in one or more of the following cases:
5.3.1. Third parties to whom the Organization is obliged by law to transfer Information about the User and/or obliged to transfer such Information according to regulatory requirements (including transfer of Information to the Registrar of Associations).
5.3.2. Third parties who provide the Organization with various services in connection with the Website and/ or the Organization activity and/ or in connection with the Donations and/or products or services advertised through the Website, if any. These parties may provide the Organization, inter alia:
5.3.2.1.Third parties which provide the Organization services regarding the collection and management of the Donations (including third parties which operate platforms for collecting donations);
5.3.2.2.Support services for Website systems, security systems and information technology (IT) systems, Website activation services, information storage services, User information management services, payment services, software providers used by the Organization, Website building services, content editing and design software, Website and User experiences, providers of communication channels with the Users, mailing advertising and marketing services (including third parties which provide the Organization newsletter and/ or mail delivery services and/ or platforms), lawyers and other external professional consultants, survey and research editing services as well as other third parties who provide the Organization with services in connection with its activities.
5.3.2.3.Third parties which the Organization makes use of their platform for the purpose of marketing and/or advertising and/ or managing the relationship with the Users, such as: Google, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp. The use of the said platforms by the User will be done in accordance with and subject to the Privacy Policy of each system and/or media as mentioned above, as updated from time to time, and which is available on the aforementioned companies’ Websites.
5.3.3. The Organization may display the name of the User and the amount of Donation made by him to other Users and/ or third parties, for the purpose of collecting additional donations;
5.3.4. If the Organization receives an instruction and/or demand, including a judicial order ordering it to provide the User’s details or information about the User in accordance with the provisions of any applicable law.
5.3.5. In any dispute, claim, demand, claim or any legal proceedings between the User or anyone on his behalf and the Organization or anyone on its behalf.
5.3.6. In the event of a transfer and/or sale and/or assignment and/or purchase, of the Organization and/or its assets and/or any part of them, for consideration or not, in which, among other cases, the ownership of the Information contained in the Organization’s databases and/or the Website and/or its contents, will be transferred, all or part of them, to third parties, including but not limited to the case of a merger of the Organization and/or its activities with third parties, including, in cases of a change of control, full or partial, in the Organization, as well as in cases of feasibility examinations of the cases mentioned above and/or examining the feasibility of any business activity with a third party.
5.3.7. When the third party is a connected organization of the Organization;
5.3.8. If a claim is made or the Organization suspects that a User has committed an act and/or omission that may harm the Organization, on its behalf, any third parties including other Users and/or their property.
5.3.9. If a claim is raised or the Organization suspects that a User is using the Website and/or services for the purpose of committing an illegal act and/or to enable, facilitate, assist and/or encourage the commission of such an act.
5.3.10. In any case that the Organization believes that providing the Information is required to prevent damage to the Organization, the User or any third party.
5.4. As part of a transfer to third parties as detailed above, the Organization may transfer Information to third parties who store the Information and/or process it, outside of the State of Israel, including to third parties located in countries whose level of protection of the information does not comply with the provisions of Israeli law and which may grant less protection than that provided according to the privacy protection laws in Israel. The User declares that the Organization may transfer its information to the said third parties, as described above.
6. Information Security
The Organization takes technical and physical measures regarding privacy and information security in accordance with accepted standards and in accordance with the law applicable to the Organization’s activities. As known, the storage and transmission of information by electronic means, including through the Internet, can never be completely safe and at any time when the User submits information to the Organization, through the Internet, the User does so with full consent and subject to the dangers involved in the transmission of information in this way. The Organization does not guarantee that the Website and/or the systems that store Information that passes through the Website will be immune from unauthorized access to the Information. In any case, if the User has reason to believe that the transfer of Information to the Organization is no longer safe, they may update us through the means of communication in section 16 of the Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Organization and anyone on its behalf will not bear any liability, and is exempt from any liability, in connection with any damage, loss or expense, of any kind and type, whether direct or indirect and/or circumstantial and/or consequential, which have been and/or will be caused to Users and/or to a third party, in any matter related to the collection of the information, its use, its transfer to third parties, its preservation, its security and more.
8. The Retention Period of the Information
The Organization will keep the Information of the User for the period necessary to ensure the purposes detailed in this Privacy Policy, unless a shorter or longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
9. Information about other individuals
If the User provides personal Information to the Organization regarding other individuals including their family members and/or additional third parties, the User must do so only after: (a) the User has informed the said individuals about the content of this policy; and – (b) the User received the required consent for the collection, use, disclosure and transfer of Information about the said individuals in accordance with this policy and in accordance with the provisions of the law, as required.

The Organization uses cookies and other technologies such as pixels and more (hereafter collectively: the “cookies“) through which the Organization collects non-identifying information in connection with Website Users. It is clarified that the Organization will not bear any responsibility, of any kind, in connection with the other sites, including in relation to the collection, use, transfer of information on the other sites, the content that will be published on the pages of the other sites, and more.
12. The right to review and correct the information
The right to review and correct the information is in accordance with the provisions of the Law. If the User wishes to review the information about them that is in the Organization’s databases and/or to correct the aforementioned information, this can be done by contacting the Organization using the contact details that appear in section 16 of this Privacy Policy below.
13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
The terms and conditions detailed in this Privacy Policy as well as any change or amendment thereof, as well as the use of the Website, will be regulated according to the laws of the State of Israel without reference to the applicable choice of law clauses therein.
Jurisdiction in connection with any dispute and/or claim that may arise in connection with the use of the Website and this Privacy Policy or related to it is exclusively given to the courts in Tel Aviv – Jaffa.
14. Changes and Updates
The Organization may, at its sole discretion, change the Privacy Policy from time to time for it to reflect technological and/or business and/or legal and/or regulatory changes, etc., and this without the need to provide a notice or notification thereof. The User’s continued use of the Website after the Privacy Policy has been updated will indicate the User’s consent to the updated Privacy Policy, including changes, and therefore the User is suggested to review the Privacy Policy from time to time.
